About the Teacher Training
Our course delivers a comprehensive and in-depth curriculum that focuses on practice; breathing, meditation and awareness; the ancient philosophy of yoga and, of course, the art of teaching.
Led by Patrycja, Yogagati founder and lead teacher, you will emerge from our course having experienced why yoga is a way of life, not just a form of exercise. Drawing upon more than ten years of teaching experience, Patrycja, supported by guest teachers, will guide you in the intensive and spiritual teachings and practices of yoga so that you gain the skills and experience to start teaching professionally. Even if you are not interested in teaching yoga, we can help you to lead a healthier and more fulfilling life while motivating you to deepen your practice and knowledge.
Class size is limited to 18 students so you’ll receive more individual feedback and opportunities for questions.
The Yogagati program is designed to empower participants from day one. During the three-week intensive course we guide students through the methodologies, techniques and principles essential to effective yoga instruction. Alongside the practical element of the course, lessons will include a focus on the principles of sequencing, alignment, adjustments and modifications; functional anatomy and physiology; an in-depth consideration of yoga philosophy and what it takes to make a career out of teaching yoga.

Please arrive at Vikasa before 4pm on the 18th of March, as we will have our orientation meeting at that time. Check in starts at 2pm. There will be graduation ceremony and brunch on the departure day – 7th of April, check out is at 12pm.
Regular training days:
07:30 – 09:45 Morning Vinyasa Practice – meditation, pranayama and asana
10:00 – 11:30 Healthy brunch buffet plus break
11:30 – 13:30 Training session – philosophy, asana clinic
13:30 – 15:00 Free time – self-study, reflect, beach time!
15:00 – 17:00 Training session – asana clinic, practice teaching
17:00 – 18:30 Evening Yin Practice – asana and Nidra for improved sleep
18:30 – 20:00 Healthy buffet dinner
*To ensure you have enough time to embody the learned material as well as reset and have time for yourself, daily classes and lectures will be limited to 8 -9 hours, and you will have 1 day off a week. Additional YA required hours will consist of pre-training anatomy online course and recommended reading.
Who is this course for ?
Our course is taught over three weeks, ideal for those with limited time who want to obtain full certification or just deepen their personal practice. You don’t have to be flexible or be able to stand on your head, it is more important that you have a willingness to learn. The number one prerequisite that we have is that students come to our YTT courses with an open mind and heart, receptive to the teachers and course content. The program is structured in a way that supports participants of all levels, including beginners. Applicants however must be in good health, physically and mentally.
Yogagati curriculum and teacher training courses are Yoga Alliance accredited. Upon completion of this program, you will be awarded a certificate that will allow you to register with YA. This registration enhances your credibility as a yoga professional since their designations are the premier forms of recognition for yoga teachers wanting to teach worldwide.
Vikasa Yoga Retreat on Koh Samui, Thailand is a boutique yoga resort and organic restaurant. Koh Samui island is a tropical dream destination in Thailand, the land of smiles. Vikasa is located on the most beautiful part of Samui, between Chaweng and Lamai.
Koh Samui is also an ideal place for exploring yoga due to the outstanding natural beauty of the island. Most of Koh Samui is still considered unspoiled and unpolluted. Time on this paradise island is an opportunity to relax, unwind, explore, and focus on yourself. Enjoy the natural energy of palm trees, white sand, purple sunsets, turquoise waters, dense jungle, and exotic waterfalls. Despite being so easily accessible, Samui remains an idyllic island in the sun.
Please book your flight to arrive at Koh Samui Airport (USM). Upon arrival, take a taxi to bring you to the Vikasa Retreat. If it is possible for you to arrive a few days earlier to acclimate to the weather and the time zone, that is highly encouraged.

Please note, to ensure our students get the most possible out of the training we keep the groups small, so the courses often fill up well in advance. To secure your spot, please read and complete the registration form below. This form allows us to learn more about you and what you hope to gain from the course.
Upon acceptance to the program, you will be asked to pay the non-refundable $200 deposit within a week, and the rest of the balance 1 month before course start date. After receiving your deposit, we will then email you pre-travel pack with log in details to the online anatomy course, as well as recommended reading list.
