About the Teacher Training
Our course delivers a comprehensive and in-depth curriculum that focuses on practice; breathing, meditation and awareness; the ancient philosophy of yoga and, of course, the art of teaching.
Led by Lindsay Calvert, Yogagati lead teacher, you will emerge from our course having experienced why yoga is a way of life, not just a form of exercise. Drawing upon more than ten years of teaching experience, Lindsay, supported by guest teachers, will guide you in the intensive and spiritual teachings and practices of yoga so that you gain the skills and experience to start teaching professionally. Even if you are not interested in teaching yoga, we can help you to lead a healthier and more fulfilling life while motivating you to deepen your practice and knowledge.
Class size is limited to 18 students so you’ll receive more individual feedback and opportunities for questions.
The Yogagati program is designed to empower participants from day one. During the three-week intensive course we guide students through the methodologies, techniques and principles essential to effective yoga instruction. Alongside the practical element of the course, lessons will include a focus on the principles of sequencing, alignment, adjustments and modifications; functional anatomy and physiology; an in-depth consideration of yoga philosophy and what it takes to make a career out of teaching yoga.
What sets the Yogagati School program apart from other courses is our commitment to leaving behind the one-size-fits-all approach and instead creating a respectful, stimulating and relaxed learning environment that ensures every individual is heard and supported. Students emerge from the Yogagati course with a solid foundation ready to begin their yoga instructor career.
